Four weeks ago I guest hosted #CookBlogShare on Recipes Made Easy. I am delighted to tell you that I must have done something right. Kirsty from Hijacked By Twins and Eb at Easy Peasy Foodie have asked me to join them in co-hosting this popular linky on a regular basis. I couldn’t be happier and am very proud to be part of the #CookBlogShare team.
Monika from Everyday Healthy Recipes will also be joining the team, so you will see #CookBlogShare here on Recipes Made Easy every 4 weeks or so. I am sure my readers will enjoy seeing some of the other great recipes that other bloggers are posting. So, if you are a blogger I hope to see you linking up your recipes here on Recipes Made Easy.
What is a Linky?
A linky is a place where bloggers share their posts. The #CookBlogShare linky will grow over the week as bloggers add thumbnails to their posts. If you click on them it will take you to their recipe on the bloggers own website. Trust me, there are some brilliant #CookBlogShare bloggers, and their blogs are well worth a visit, it is worth clicking. Each week the best posts from the week before are included in a round up at the start of the next linky.
If you are a blogger, you probably already know what a linky is, if you have a recipe to share then do please link up your post. (details of how to do so can be found below).
Baked to Perfection
First, it is time for a round up of my favourite posts from last week. This is by far the hardest bit. With so many excellent posts to choose from picking just 4 is so difficult. My last round up was savoury dishes but the #CookBlogShare bloggers like their sweet stuff too and they like baking. Therefore, I have chosen 4 baking posts this week with a mixture of sweet and savoury dishes. You already know I’m a sucker for anything to do with baking!
Wholemeal and Rye Seeded Bread
Last week was Real Bread Week. Last year for real bread week, I posted my no-knead sourdough recipe which has proved very popular but this year I dropped the ball and failed to post a bread recipe – Shame on me. To make up for it I am sharing Hi-jacked by Twins Wholemeal and Rye Seeded Bread. How good does that look? and its not even been baked yet.
Minted Lamb Pies
With two savoury pastry dishes to choose from it was a hard call to make. Jo’s Kitchen Asparagus and Cheddar Tart did look good but I thought you might think I was obsessed by asparagus at the moment – which I am but that’s by the by. So, in the end I choose The Proper Foodie’s Minted Lamb Pies because after reading her post I just wanted to go down to my kitchen and make them. That gravy looks so rich and delicious. It is only a matter of time before I cook this.
Rhubarb Crumble Cake
I discovered the Apply To Face Blog through #CookBlogShare a while back and ever since Jenny’s humour keeps me coming back again and again. Her recipes are great too! Having a large rhubarb patch myself, her Rhubarb Crumble Cake really appealed to me. Crumble and Cake, what more could you want.
I have already expressed my love of Baileys on Recipes Made Easy as a cooking ingredients (even though as a drink I’m not quite so keen). These Baileys cupcakes from Charlotte’s Lively Kitchen definitely get my vote.
EASY PEASY FOODIE -TWO YEARS OF BLOGGING
This week #CookBlogShares very own Eb from Easy Peasy Foodie celebrated her second year of food blogging and she shared her 15 Highlights from her second year of blogging . It is a great read, so I couldn’t let this pass without a special mention. Congratulations Eb on producing such a fabulous blog.
#COOKBLOGSHARE LINKY WEEK 20
And so we come to this week’s linky. Bloggers, you can link up any foodie post you have – both old and new posts are welcome. All you need to do is:
- Link up a recipe or foodie post by clicking the blue ‘add your link’ button below and following the instructions.
- Add a link from your post back to this post (so everyone else can find it and link up too!)
- Add the #CookBlogShare badge to your post (you can find the code below)
- Comment on some of the other recipes linked up here and generally share the love with a bit of social media action!
- Comment on either this or the post labelled HOST in the linky
If you wish, you can tweet a link to your recipe to me @jacdotbee using #CookBlogShare and I will retweet them.
You can also post your recipe on the Cook Blog Share Facebook Page.
I will comment on all the posts this week, as well as tweet and pin them to the Cook Blog Share Pinterest Board.
So over to you, I can’t wait to see what you’ve all been making!
Next week (23rd May), Monika at Everyday Healthy Recipes will be hosting #CookBlogShare.
Just to remind you, by joining in you are giving the #CookBlogShare hosts permission to use your pictures in a round up and on social media, if your recipe is selected as one of our favourites!
