Sausages a favourite party food
When you have friends over for a party whatever the occasion the last thing as a host you want to do is spend all your time in the kitchen.
You can resort to supermarket party foods but these are often expensive and not that good, so having a few easy-to-prepare party dishes up your sleeve is a good idea.
Just about everyone likes sausages on sticks and it is really easy to up the taste value with a simple glaze added towards the end of the cooking. In fact, its so easy I felt it was a bit cheeky to call it a recipe.
So not wanting to short change you I have given you three recipes in one. Choose your favourite or serve a mixture, each glaze is enough to make about 24 party sausages.

Sausages
You can buy small cocktail sausages but I find these are generally of poor quality, so I buy a good quality chipolatas and then simply make smaller bite size sausages by pinching and twisting them into smaller links.
Sticky BBQ Sausages
- Tomato ketchup
- Brown fruity sauce
- Smoked paprika
Honey and Mustard Sausages
- Honey
- Whole grain mustard
Chilli, Soy and Sesame Sausages
- Sweet chilli sauce
- Sesame oil
- Soy sauce
- Sesame seeds
Prepare Ahead
These only take a few minutes to prepare before cooking so if you want to serve them hot I would recommend that you mix the glazes ready (they can be stored in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 days) and lay out the sausages ready for glazing (store covered in the fridge for up to 12 hours) if you want to have everything to go.
If serving cold you can make them up to 24 hours in advance and store in the refrigerator.
Do not leave out at room temperature for 2 to 3 hours.
Can I use Vegetarian Sausages?
Yes these glazes work well with both meat and vegetarian sausages?
